    What an incredible property! The farmstead atmosphere is carried throughout in all the buildings (historic or modern), the landscape and the antiquated farm equipment scattered about. The suite was perfectly charming and sitting on the porch during a brief rain shower added to the magic. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, including the sociable cat that showed up on the porch of the main house. A minute's drive takes you into the historic district of Gruene-extremely convenient. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others! There is not enough space for all the wonderful things I could share about the Gruene Homestead Inn.
